Hello Angler Members,
The call that we have all been waiting for, has been made. They are going to open up the boat launch ramps in San Diego Bay. Shelter Island ramp and National City ramp will be opining up tomorrow May 1st. 8 am. allowed: recreational boating. All occupants must be of the same household. Mission Bay ramp is not yet open to recreational boating.
Bay and immediate shore line being affected by red tide. Can make fishing tough.
Still no group gatherings on or around beach and bay walk ways. No stopping on beaches. Got to keep moving.
Still, being bound to the land for this amount of time makes me appreciate the little things, Like BAIT, I don’t care how much it costs.
We must still abide by the recommendations given to us. Social distancing, face masks when in public, hand washing etc.
We may not be over this COVID 19, we can now fish.
Lets not abuse our privilege.
Stay safe and healthy

Can't fish from the shoreline yet.
My understanding is that SD County beaches are open but you must maintain distancing. My youngest son is dying to go fishing in the harbor from the beaches over by the Southwestern aquatic center. Seems like it would be legal with just immediate family, right?
So you can launch your boat. But can you park your truck and trailer at the shelter island ramp.
Need them to open shoreline fishing back up.
NICE! ANY ONE NEED A CREW MEMBER TO CUT BAIT?
Thank you for posting this.
Hello Angler Members,
I’m sure there are some San Diego Angler members that are getting very antsy to go fishing. I feel that we should weigh the risks vs. rewards. Patience.
The position of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Anglers fishing club is that we follow the guide lines put forth by our state and local officials.
Stay safe and healthy.
