"Fishin' in the Pines "

Kids fishing has long been part of the Lake Cuyamaca history. Many people in San Diego have told us that trout fishing, as a kid, in the lake near Julian holds great memories. 2006 marks the 9th annual "Fishin' in the Pines Free Kids Derby."
In 2006, the San Diego fishing community helped to set records for a free kids fishing derby. We've listed all the people involved on our "Sponsor" page. Please stop in and visit their business and remember to say "Thank you!". It appears that our record keeping has not been up to date, so we are looking forward to the tenth annual "Fishin' In The Pines Kids Derby" September 22nd, 2007.
The crew from All Outdoors Radio were a great help. They put out the word all over San Diego as well as contacting our national sponsors, so please listen in Sunday afternoons from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on KCBQ 1170 AM. call in and talk to John, Ed or Ron and you might win a free motorboat rental from Lake Cuyamaca.
Thanks again to the San Diego Anglers for a spectacular job of barbecuing the fish, hot dogs and all the fixin's. None of this could have happened without the support of the Lake Cuyamaca staff and all of the volunteers that spent countless hours putting this event together.
