Tournament News
Hello Anglers, the April 17th Rock Cod Tournament had 15 adults and 3 juniors with (almost) all weighing fish in. We were blessed with great weather on the beach but a little bumpy on the water.
Adult Division:
1st Place: Ted phoenix 17.4 pounds for $175.00.
2nd Place: Marty McCune 11.3 pounds for $125.00.
3rd Place: Bob Pence 10.8 pounds for $100.00.
4th Place: Steve Sttacheski 9.8 pounds for $50.00 AND $120.00 jackpot for an 8.3 Lingcod.
5th Place: John Nakatani 9.1 pounds for a free entry into the next tournament.
Juniors Division:
1st Place: Trevor Burnett 6.1 pounds, $80.00 gift cert.
2nd Place: Tyler Robinson 4.8 pounds, $50.00 gift cert.
3rd Place: Jennifer Nakatani 4.1 pounds, $30.00 gift cert.
Thanks to Joe for the good eats, Jordan for lending a hand at the weigh in, Charrie for helping (putting up) with me and all those who participated.
May 15th will be our next tournament, IGFA, SO ALMOST anything goes, be sure to read the rules.

The San Diego Anglers hold monthly tournaments open to club members in good Standing. Club members entering these tournaments each year are eligible for tournament prizes and accumulating points toward the "Tournament Angler of the Year" award in the Adult and Junior divisions respectively.

One Angler will be recognized in the Adult and one in the Junior divisions as the San Diego Angler's "Tournament Angler of the Year" at our Annual Banquet. Juniors are recognized as juniors up to and during the calendar year they are sixteen. If a junior is sixteen years of age on January one, they will compete as a junior all year. If a junior is seventeen years of age on January one, they will compete as an adult from then on.

Anglers participating in the San Diego Anglers Tournaments receive; one (1) point for entering in each individual monthly Club tournament. Anglers placing first (1) thru fifth (5) in these tournaments will only receive the point conversions in the following points system values;

Monthly Club Tournament placement = Tournament Angler of the Year points earned
